The Cleveland Cavaliers lost Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Detroit Pistons tonight in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Here are my thoughts on the game:
- I was very pleased with the energy the Cavs played with tonight and showed once again they don't fear the Pistons.
- Lebron needs to be more aggressive than he was tonight. 10 shots is unacceptable. Like Charles Barkley said in the post game show when Lebron drives to the whole he gets the opposition in foul trouble.
- I know the Pistons have improved but so to have the Cavs.
- Sasha needs to be better than he was tonight. I think he is starting to show the inexperience of playing in his first playoffs. I also think if we want to be an elite team Sasha is a nice player but I don't know if he is a starting shooting guard.
- I would have liked to see more of that lineup with Donyell and Daniel Gibson especially when we had the lead in the second quarter and maybe if they had knocked down some shots they really could have built an even bigger lead.
- I think after tonight this has the makings of a very long series. It is very evident we are the only team in the east besides Miami that gives Detroit fits.
- The loss was very frustrating but folks lets look at what we thought after game 1 last year and we have grown leaps and bounds as a team.
- Also Z had a great game tonight and if he continues to play this well this will really help us out as the series unfolds.
The Cavs will resume their series with the Pistons on Thursday night at 8.
