The Cleveland Indians completed a three game sweep of the Minnesota Twins on Thursday afternoon at Jacobs Field. Here are my thoughts on the game:
- Fausto Carmona was simply dominant today. The Twins had no chance at the plate today against him. Listening to their post game comments I find it amazing they even got four hits off him. Hopefully he continues this great pitching and gives the Tribe two ace starting pitchers.
- I also wanted to salute the defense that the Tribe have been playing. What once was considered a weakness is now getting a lot better. Nice play by Josh Barfield on the grounder up the middle.
- It was really nice to see this great pitching match up live up to its billing.
- The day got even better yesterday with Detroit losing a twin bill yesterday.
The Indians start the Battle for Ohio on Friday at Jacobs Field with the Reds as Cliff Lee opposes Kyle Lohse.
